Landlord Partnerships with Pillars of Pettis County

Your Property, Our Priority

Guaranteed Rent. Vetted Tenants. Your Property Partner.

Partner With Us: A Stable Foundation for Landlords

At Pillars of Pettis County, we know that a property is an investment. We also know that many hardworking families in our community are just one “bridge” away from long-term self-sufficiency.

We invite Pettis County property owners to partner with us in a unique program that eliminates the common risks of landlording while providing a life-changing opportunity for a local family.

Why Partner with Pillars?

We offer more than just a tenant; we offer a guaranteed partnership.

  • Guaranteed, On-Time Payments: Pillars of Pettis County pays the rent directly to you. You never have to “chase” a payment or worry about a tenant falling behind.

  • A Mentored Success Plan: Our residents aren’t just renters—they are program participants. Every family is paired with a mentor, attends educational classes, and works toward specific financial and personal goals.

  • Professional Accountability: We act as a bridge between you and the tenant. If issues arise, you have a direct line to our volunteer board and program coordinators.

  • Vetted Referrals: In partnership with Mercy Services United, we ensure every family is assessed for readiness and a commitment to self-sufficiency before they enter our program.

The Pillars Standard

We don’t just “place” families; we support them so they—and your property—succeed. Our participants agree to:

  1. Maintain Active Employment: Families must be working to remain in the program.

  2. Education & Growth: Participants attend classes on budgeting, home maintenance, and life skills.

  3. Financial Contribution: Residents contribute to their housing and utility costs, teaching them the habits of long-term stability.

“Our biggest challenge isn’t a lack of families who want to work hard; it’s a lack of available, moderately priced roofs to put over their heads. When a landlord says ‘Yes,’ they aren’t just renting a house—they are launching a family into a new life.” — Pillars of Pettis County Board

How the Partnership Works

  1. Inquiry: You let us know you have an available (or upcoming) rental unit.

  2. Assessment: We share our program guidelines and ensure your property meets the needs of our current waitlist.

  3. Agreement: We sign a partnership agreement. You receive professional, guaranteed rent payments directly from our 501(c )(3) organization.

  4. Ongoing Support: We remain in constant contact with the tenant and provide you with a direct point of contact for any property needs.

Real Stories. Real Stability.

From Overcrowded to Overjoyed: A Family’s New Chapter

The Challenge: A family of four was “doubled up” in a cramped, one-bedroom apartment. Without enough space for the children to sleep or study, the stress of daily life was a constant barrier to their goals.

The Pillars Solution: Through our partnership with local property owners, we moved this family into a newly renovated house.

The Impact: * Privacy & Dignity: Each child and parent now has their own bedroom.

  • Modern Amenities: A new kitchen and in-home washer/dryer have saved the family time and money.

  • A Foundation for Growth: With a stable home base, the parents can now focus on their long-term career and educational goals.
