At Pillars of Pettis County, we believe that housing stability is a shared responsibility. Whether you have a background in property management, a heart for mentoring, or the means to give financially, there is a vital place for you in our mission.
Because we are 100% volunteer-led, your skills are our greatest asset. We are looking for dedicated neighbors to serve in the following areas:
Family Mentors: Walk alongside our participants as they navigate their goal-focused plans. Mentors provide encouragement, accountability, and a connection to community resources.
Life-Skills Instructors: Do you have expertise in budgeting, nutrition, or basic home maintenance? Help lead the educational classes our families attend as they work toward self-sufficiency.
Committee Members: Help us grow our reach by joining a committee focused on fundraising, community outreach, or property acquisition.
Property Support: Help us ensure our partner properties are safe and welcoming through occasional light maintenance or “welcome home” beautification projects.

Our biggest barrier to assisting more families is the availability of moderately priced rental properties. By partnering with Pillars, you aren’t just a landlord—you are a community stakeholder.
Guaranteed Rent: Pillars pays your rent on time, every month.
Vetted & Mentored Tenants: Our families are program participants who are working, learning, and held to high standards of accountability.
Professional Liaison: You have a direct line to our board to ensure a seamless partnership.

Is your organization or congregation looking for a tangible way to impact local poverty? We welcome partnerships for:
Event Sponsorships: Support our community fundraisers and “We The People” initiatives.
In-Kind Donations: Provide “Welcome Home” kits for new families (cleaning supplies, linens, or kitchen essentials).
As a registered 501(c )(3) non-profit, your financial contributions are tax-deductible and remain right here in Pettis County. Give now!
“Stability isn’t just about four walls and a roof; it’s about the people who stand underneath them. When you get involved with Pillars, you become the support system that makes self-sufficiency possible.”
